HOHENLOHE - Agriculture - Spices Village

Experience a journey into the world of regional products and innovative agriculture!

Your first stop will take you to a farm where you´ll have the chance to see the famous “Schwäbisch Hällischen Landschweine” and learn about their history und success story. These pigs were once thought to be extinct in the 1980s, but now their known as a high-quality meat.

 Get an inside look at their production process and hear details straight from the source.

Next, you´ll head to the Wolpertshausen Regional Market, where a tour of the market hall awaits. With over 4.000 items from local producers, the 800-square-meter hall offers a wealth of regionally produced foods. You´ll be amazed by the diversity and quality of the products and experience the passion of the producers for their work.

Take a break for lunch at the Regional Market and then continue on to visit Ecoland/Spice Village, where you´ll enjoy a tour and see the cultivation of ecological natural spices. These spices are sourced from Hohenlohe, Vojvodina/Serbia, Carpathians/Romania, and Kerala/India and are fairly traded, ensuring producers receive a fair price and consumers get the best spices. The range and quality of spices on offer are sure to inspire.

Afterwards, your journey ends back at Arena Hohenlohe, where the rest of the day´s program takes place. You´ll explore the World Alpaca Conference trade fair grounds, with a guided tour and evening lectures.

It´s a day filled with exploration, education, and appreciation for the passion and work of regional producers.
